FYI Breakfast a Taste of Things to Come

26th May 2008

Some very brave young women rolled out of their comfy, warm beds on Saturday morning, May 24th, to do an early breakfast in Toowoomba and hear from four phenomenal girls about answering the call of God.

Amy Riddell, 17, Esther Ballantyne, 26, Julie Flatt, 32, and Letitia Shelton, 33, spoke about their personal experiences of hearing God's call and what it had cost them to answer.

"Their openness and honesty about challenges and struggles they'd each faced on their own journeys blew me away," Tanya Gordon, FYI Director, said.

"We're so excited about what God is doing in the lives of young women all around the world. Events like this provide such a great opportunity to inspire other teenage girls and young women to hear God's call in their own lives and lay down their lives for others."

Tanya said the breakfast was a small taste of what girls could expect at FYI's first national conference, "All For One", to be held in Toowoomba on September 5 & 6, this year.

"All For One' is a conference by young women for young women," Tanya said. "Girls are going to be flying in from all over Australia to be part of this amazing event which will feature more than 20 young female presenters, who are making their mark for the Kingdom of God locally, nationally and globally."

Registration for the entire event is $50. For more info and to register, visit the event page here.
